GRP Underground Petroleum Tank

Tank shall meet the following design criteria:
1. External Hydrostatic Pressure
Buried underground with two( 2) meters overburden over the top of the tank. The hole fully flooded and a safety factor of 2:1 against buckling.
2. Surface Loads
When installed according to our installation instructions, tank shall withstand a total external load of two( 2) meters cover on top of the tank plus a concentrated load of 10,169 kgs.
3. Internal Loads
Tank shall withstand 3- 5 psig internal pressure with 5: 1 safety factor. |

Tank Fabrication Materials
1. Resin
The resin system to be used is a commercial grade, corrosion- resistant and inert to the petroleum products to be stored.
2. Reinforcing Materials
Fiberglass reinforcements shall be a combination of continuous roving and chopped stand mat and woven roving of the “E” glass type. Innermost layer in contact with the stored liquid shall be reinforced with a surface veil of the “C” glass type.
