  Polycon Quality Control
Classification of Polycon pipe and its desi -gn is very similar to concrete pipe. ASTM
C 76 standard for reinforced concrete pip
e based its strength classes on three-edg
e bearing resistance or D-loads. Polycon
pipe is manufactured to the requirements
of Class-V strengths.

Polycon pipe used for “open-cut” installation are factory tested for water-tightness to 2.4 bars (35 psig)

Batch mix are randomly sampled and caste
d into cubes and tested for compressive
strengths.Cubes are made in the lab for evr
-y new resin batch and must pass the minim
-um compressive

 CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
- Polycon pipes are qualified for its chemical-resistance by subjecting at least sixspecimensto a load
tests. Specimens are immersed in test solutions (H2SO4, pH=0.5 and NaOH, pH=10) while under load
equal to 60% of the initial three-load bearing strength for 1,000 hours without failure.
WORKMANSHIP- Polycon pipes are visually inspected for defects: pinholes, surface pits, cracks, etc.
DIMENSIONAL CHECKS
- Pipe diameter
- Lengths
- Wall thickness
- Pipe straightness
- Pipe roundness
- Pipe ends squareness
CRUSHING STRENGTH TEST
- Three-edge Bearing Load Test
COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH
- Cubes are replicated in the lab and tested for compressive strength test.
