GRP Pipes and Fittings manufactured by Al-Watani Factory for Fiberglass Co. ( AWFF ) are corrosion-resistant flexible composite underground system constructed of Thermosetting Polyester Resin, Fiberglass Reinforcements, and Silica Sand. Pipes are available in stiffness classes of 1250, 2500, 5000 and 10000 Pa. In nominal pressure classes, it is available in PN3, PN6, PN10, PN16 and PN20. These pipes are designed to withstand aggressive environments both for pressure and gravity applications and available in Nominal Diameters (DN) from 300mm to 2600mm, AWWA C950, O.D. series.
Standard method of jointing is by means of a GRP Double Bell Coupling with an elastomeric rubber sealing rings.
Construction
The pipe is constructed as follows
Liner : C glass tissue reinforcement bonded with chemical- resistant resin, and backed-up with chopped �E� glass;
1).Structural Layer : Composed of chopped �E� glass and well-graded silica sand;
2).External Layer : This layer is a �C� glass impregnated with the structure resin.

USES
Sanitary Sewage, Raw Water, Potable Water, Sea Water, Industrial Effluents.
Watani pipe can be used for gravity and pressure applications and suitable for corrosive environments including aggressive sanitary sewage, raw water, potable water, sea water, fire fighting lines and many industrial effluents with a temperature range of 40�C to 65�C. AWFF pipes planned for handling industrial effluents must be discussed with our authorized personnel at design stage.
Special pipes can be manufactured to be used for above ground or higher temperature. Please ask Watani for more information.
